Gauchan made his debut in 2002 against the oman.He became the second Nepalese cricketer to score an international century, when he slammed an unbeaten 106 off 103 balls against Italy during the ICC World Cup Qualifying Series in February 2005.
6ft 1 inch tall Gauchan wears 44 number Jersey for Nepalese cricket team.He lead the Jagadamba Giants in NPL in the year 2014 while APF during 2011 to 2015.
RecordsHe is first Nepali to take a hattrick.He smashed 2nd century from Nepal.
He will be only the player to retired in the debut ODI match which he announced after First ODI between Nepal and Netherland.

In 2014 world cupT20 Bangladesh, he was phenomenal in an 80 run win over Honk Kong in the first group match and was awarded the man of the match for his impressive 3 wicket haul. He took total of 5 wickets playing three matches in the tournament.
