STEVEN SMITH ,former Australian team captain is about to join the biggest party in cricket i.e CPL T20 tournament which is about to start on August 8.This is his 2nd T20 tournaments after the ball tempering scandle in the test cricket in last March.He has played Canadian league GPLT20 before.

STEVEN SMITH all set to join the Barbados Tridents for upcoming CPL after the allrounder Shakib Al Hasan is not available for CPL since playing country games."It is a huge blow to lose Shakib for the tournament but in Steve Smith we have a truly world-class replacement who can help to bring power to our batting lineup" , Barbados Tridents coach Robin Singh said. "As a man who has played cricket at the highest level all over the world we are very confident that Smith will be a big success with the Tridents." He then elaborate.The 29 years middle order batsman Steven Smith played his first GPLT20 tournaments in canada last month. He scored one half century in 6 inning scoring 167 runs at the average of 33.40 having strike rate 119.28.
His former teammate David warner is also leading a side St. Lucia stars in the upcoming CPL.Along with Steven Smith there are player like Hasim Amla, Martin Guptill, Jason Holder, Shai Hope ,DR. Smith and so on.
Remember that Nepali young spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is also playing the tournaments.
